WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991—SCHEDULE 10 (AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995)

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Sundorne Products (Llanidloes) Limited for consent to discharge up to 400 cubic metres per day of Trade Effluent from constructional dewatering to an un-named tributary of the Nant y Bradnant at National Grid Ref SN 9738 8223, and up to 400 cubic metres per day of Trade Effluent from constructional dewatering to an un-named tributary of the Afon Dulas at National Grid Ref SN 9655 8190, from the settlement facilities serving the new constructional phase of Bryn Posteg Landfill Site, Tylwch Road, Llanidloes, Powys. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Team Leader Regulatory Water Quality at the Agency’s offices at Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB during the period 19 December 2003 to 30 January 2004 inclusive quoting Ref CP/US/91843ab. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties it is decided that consent can be granted, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
