PROPOSED FURTHER AMENDMENT OF THE HORSHAM DISTRICT COUNCIL (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) GENERAL ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that Horsham District Council in the exercise of its powers under sections 32 and 35 (1) to (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and all other enabling powers proposes to make further amendments to the Horsham District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) General Order 1999, the effect of which will be as follows: 1.  Denne Road Car Park, Horsham Charging hours: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (excluding Bank and Public Holidays). Maximum waiting period: 3 consecutive hours, with no return within 12 hours of departure. Scale of charges: up to 1 hour: £0.60, up to 2 hours: £1, up to 3 hours: £1.50. 2.  London Road Car Park, Horsham Charging hours: 8.00 am to 7.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (excluding Bank and Public Holidays). Maximum waiting period: 11 consecutive hours. Charge: quarterly season ticket: £172.50. 3.  Forum Blackhorse Way (formerly Worthing Road), Horsham Charging hours: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (excluding Bank and Public Holidays). Maximum waiting period: 10 consecutive hours. Scale of charges: up to 2 hours: £1, up to 3 hours: £1.50, up to 4 hours: £2, over 4 hours: £10 (all day on foot). Lost ticket rates: 8.00 am to 12.00 noon: £1.50, 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm: £10. Quarterly season ticket: £200. Essential business use quarterly season ticket: £172.50. 4.  Library Car Park, Horsham Charging hours: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (excluding Bank and Public Holidays). Maximum waiting period: 1 hour, with no return within 2 hours of departure. Scale of charges: up to 1/2 hour: £0.30, up to 1 hour: £0.60. 5.  Council Offices Car Park, North Street, Horsham Charging hours: 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive and 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Saturday (excluding Bank and Public Holidays). Maximum waiting period: 3 consecutive hours, with no return within 2 hours of departure. The maximum waiting period shall not apply to permit holders. Parking is to be permitted, free of charge, between 5.00 pm and 8.00 am Monday to Saturday inclusive. Scale of charges: up to 1 hour: £0.60, up to 2 hours: £1, up to 3 hours: £1.50. 6.  British Telecom Car Park, North Street, Horsham Charging hours: 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive (excluding Bank and Public Holidays). Maximum waiting period: 3 consecutive hours, with no return within 2 hours of departure. The maximum waiting period shall not apply to permit holders. Parking is to be permitted, free of charge, between 5.00 pm and 8.00 am Monday to Friday inclusive, and between 5.00 pm on Friday to 10.00 am on Saturday. Scale of charges: up to 3 hours: £1.50. A copy of the draft Order together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for amending the Order may be inspected at the Council’s offices at Park North, North Street, Horsham RH12 1RL, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.00 pm. If you wish to object to the draft Order you should send your objection in writing, specifying the grounds, to the Head of Legal Services (quoting Ref BE/HTOC2) to the address below by 27 October 2003.
