NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that K & J Wilkinson, 71 Thearne Lane, Thearne, near Beverley, East Yorkshire HU17 0SA, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the chalk at National Grid Ref TA 0726 3665 at Thearne Lane, near Beverley. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 15 cubic metres per hour, 137 cubic metres per day, 9246 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for spray irrigation. This is to replace a time-limited licence due to expire.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at 71 Thearne Lane, Thearne, near Beverley, between 12 September and 10th October 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representation about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Ridings Area, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period.
