Notice is hereby given that Public Local Inquiries will be held into the Secretary of State for Transport’s proposal to make the Orders listed above and into the objections which he has received in connection with that proposal following the close of the objection period on 23 July 2003. The inquiries will be held by a person to be appointed for the purpose jointly by the Secretary of State and the First Secretary of State on the nomination of the Planning Inspectorate. The Secretaries of State will publish a further notice, which will be in accordance with Rule 10 of the Highways (Inquiries Procedure) Rules 1994, giving details of the date, time and place of the Inquiries. The notice will also include details of the Orders which are the subject of the Public Inquiries and explain the procedures to be followed for anyone who wishes to appear and to give evidence.
