NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991

RESTRICTION OF WORKS FOLLOWING SUBSTANTIAL ROADWORKS

1. In accordance with section 58 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (“The Act”), North Somerset Council, as Street Authority, gives three months’ notice of its intention to carry out substantial roadworks as detailed below: 2.

Churchill Gate, Bristol Road on the A38 in a north-easterly direction to the junction with the B3133, Stock Lane at Lower Langford, a distance of approximately 1,500 metres.	Ordnance map No 182

3. The proposed works comprise of drainage improvements, reconstructing and resurfacing of the highway between Churchill and Langford. 4. The works will commence on or within one month of 18 November 2003. 5. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and the regulations under it, no street works may be executed in the length of the highway described in paragraph 2, without consent of North Somerset Council for a period of 12 months following completion of the works described above. 6. Further details may be otained in the first instance from John Compton, telephone 01275 882001, quoting Ref ST 4565 7182.
