THE A202 GLA ROAD (LAMBETH) RED ROUTE TRAFFIC ORDER 2001 VARIATION (NO 2) ORDER 2003

1. Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it has made the above-named order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The A202 GLA Road (Lambeth) Red Route Traffic Order 2001 Experimental Variation (No 2) Order 2002 (“the experimental Order”) was made under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and came into force on 25 February 2002. 3. Transport for London has carefully considered whether or not the provisions of the experimental order should be continued indefinitely and has decided that they should be so continued. 4. Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on local authorities by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and in accordance with regulation 23 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, Transport for London has made the A202 GLA Road (Lambeth) Red Route Traffic Order 2001 Variation (No 2) Order 2003 (“the permanent Order”). That Order will come into force on 11 August 2003, and the effect of that Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the experimental Order. 5. The road affected by the Order is South Lambeth Road in the London Borough of Lambeth. 6. A copy of the permanent Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the order and a copy of the experimental Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of: Transport for London, Street Management, Statutory Functions, Traffic Orders, 6th Floor, 84 Eccleston Square, London SW1W 1PX; and Transport and Highways Group, Lambeth Borough Council, 3rd Floor, Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, London SW9 9SP. 7. Any person desiring to question the validity of the permanent Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers, or that any of the relevant requirements have not been complied with in relation to that Order, may within 6 weeks of the date on which that Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
