NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Wilfred Maddocks Ltd, of Chadwell Grange, Newport, Shropshire, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary Licence Serial Nos 18/54/4/592 and 18/54/4/1371 to abstract water from (1) The underground strata by means of a borehole at National Grid Ref SJ 7833 1411 at Chadwell Court Farm, to renew the time limit and increase the annual quantity for spray irrigation from 154,909 to 200,000 cubic metres. (2) The Dawford Brook between National Grid Ref SJ 7943 1465 and SJ 7889 1556 to increase the annual quantity from 52,000 to 136,000 cubic metres. Water to be abstracted during high flows in the winter only. Application is also made by Newport Farm Partnership of the Estate Office, Weston-under-Lizard to vary licence 18/54/4/1377 to abstract water from the Wyndford Brook at National Grid Ref SJ 8041 1360 at Blymhill. The variation being applied for is to move the abstraction point to a point upstream at SJ 803 134. A copy of the applications and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Chadwell Grange, Great Chadwell, Newport, Shropshire between 4 August 2003 and 4 September 2003.
