STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS AT SANDERSONS CROFT, KIRKBY THORE, PENRITH

Take notice that Cumbria County Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court for the Petty Sessional Division of Eden Sitting at the Magistrates Court, Lowther Terrace, Penrith, on Thursday 17 July 2003, at 10.00 am, for an Order, under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the County Council to stop up those lengths of highway described in the Schedule hereto on the grounds that they are unnecessary. A plan showing the lengths of highway to be stopped up may be inspected, free of charge, at Kirkby Thore Post Office and Village Store, Somerset House, Kirkby Thore, Penrith and at the ofices of the undersigned during normal working/opening hours. At the hearing of this applicaton, any person who uses the highways or any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for, shall have a right to be heard. Schedule Description of Lengths of Highway to be Stopped Up 1. Approximately 44 metres of footway and parking areas south-east of what were formerly numbers 22, 23 and 24 Sandersons Croft, Kirkby Thore, Penrith. 2. Two lengths of footway, one approximately 40 metres and the other approximately 30 metres in length, to the north-west of what were formerly numbers 22, 23 and 24 Sandersons Croft, Kirkby Thore, Penrith. 3. Approximately 15 metres of footway south of the former garages adjacent to what were formerly numbers 22, 23 and 24 Sandersons Croft, Kirkby Thore, Penrith. 6 June 2003.
