NOTICE OF DEPOSIT OF REVISED PROPOSALS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A LOCAL PLAN
CANTERBURY DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN FIRST REVIEW REVISED DEPOSIT DRAFT MARCH 2003

Canterbury City Council have revised the proposals for the replacement of the above plan. If, and when, these revised proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for the area of Canterbury City Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting the area.
Copies of the revised proposals are available for public inspection, free of charge, at Canterbury City Council Offices, Military Road, Canterbury, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm; Herne Bay Divisional Office, William Street, Herne Bay, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm; Whitstable Divisional Office, 49 Harbour Street, Whitstable, Monday to Friday 8.45 am to 4.45 pm; and Kent County Council, Invicta House, County Hall, Maidstone, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, from Monday 31 March 2003.
Objections to, and representations in respect of, the revised proposals should be sent in writing to Robin Cooper, Head of Strategic Planning, Chief Executive’s Department, Canterbury City Council, Military Road, Canterbury CT1 1YW, before 5.00 pm, Monday 12 May 2003. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals.
Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6 week period ending 5.00 pm, Monday 12 May 2003, will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or other hearing.

Notice of Intention to Adopt Proposals

If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections, Canterbury City Council intends to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
