NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Imerys Ltd, Broadlands House, Wilton Road, Salisbury, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 13/43/22/G/29 to abstract water from a borehole in the Chalk, at National Grid Reference SU 114 312, at Quidhampton Quarry, Salisbury.
The variation being applied for is to include a borehole in the Chalk at SU 112 315, to abstract 655 cubic metres per day and 199,280 cubic metres per year from it, but reduce overall abstractation on this licence to 658 cubic metres per day and 200,000 cubic metres per year.
A copy of the application and any map, plan and other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above address, between 12 December 2002 and 12 January 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Rivers House, Sunrise Business Park, Higher Shaftesbury Road, Blandford, Dorset, before the end of the said period.
