LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS ACT 1907

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 19 of the Limited Partnerships Act 1907, on 1 August 2002, The Northern Trust Company in its capacity as Trustee of Lucent Technologies Inc. Master Pension Trust transferred to Boston Safe Deposit and Trust as Trustee for the Lucent Technologies Inc. Master Pension Trust all of the interest held by it in Advent Private Equity Fund III ‘B’ (“the Partnership”), a Limited Partnership registered in England with No LP7160 and that, with effect from 1 August 2002, the Northern Trust Company in its capacity as Trustee of Lucent Technologies Inc. Master Pension Trust ceased to be a Limited Partner and Boston Safe Deposit and Trust as Trustee for the Lucent Technologies Inc. Master Pension Trust became a Limited Partner in the Partnership.
