NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Yorkshire Water Services Limited, of Western House, Halifax Road, Bradford BD6 2SZ, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 2/27/23/33 to abstract water from Cod Beck and Oakdale Upper Reservoirs at National Grid Refs SE 465 987 and SE 473 962 in the civil parish of Osmotherley, North Yorkshire. The variation being applied for is to reduce the required compensation release from Cod Beck Reservoir from 0.75 thousand cubic metres per day (tcmd) to 0.70 tcmd, to increase the required compensation release from Oakdale Upper Reservoir from 0.75 tcmd to 1.10 tcmd and to remove the maintained flow condition at the confluence of Cod Beck and Oakdale Beck. This proposal will result in a 0.3 tcmd net increase of compensation flow. There will be no change to the existing quantities which are authorised for abstraction. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Post Office, 15 North End, Osmotherley between 20 September 2002 and 25 October 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Region, Water Resources Section, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before the end of the said period.
