PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND & WALES) REGULATION 2000

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Treforest Textiles Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the preparation and finishing of fabric. The installation is Located at Unit E6, Treforest Industrial Estate, in the borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emission from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Treforest Textiles Ltd installation is held in registers at: The Environment Agency Wales, South East Area Office, Abacus House, St Mellons Business Park, St Mellons, Cardiff CF3 0EY; and Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, Environment Services Directorate, 11-11 a Mill Street, Pontypridd CF37 2TU. Members of the public can inspect these registers free of charge at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover copy costs. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address above within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
