THE SUTTON (ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (SUTTON CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (NO ) (AMENDMENT NO ) ORDER 200
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of these Orders is to provide for disabled persons a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult. 3. The general effect of The Sutton (Disabled Persons Parking Places) (No ) (Amendment No ) Order 200 will be: (i) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park in the following locations, to operate at all times: (a) outside No 293 Bishopsford Road, Carshalton (fully on the footway); (b) opposite No 42 Bramblewood Close, Carshalton (partially on the footway); (c) outside No 144 Buckland Way, Worcester Park; (d) outside No 24 Ronald House, Carshalton Road, Carshalton (located in Carshalton Grove) (partially on the footway); (e) outside No 103 Clarence Road, Sutton; (f) opposite Nos 31, 33 and 35 Cheshire House, Green Lane, Morden; (g) outside No 56 Hallmead Road, Sutton; (h) opposite the south-western flank wall of No 24 The Mount, Coulsdon (located in Lloyd Avenue); (i) outside Nos 67-69 Peaches Close, Cheam; (j) outside No 9 Pelton Avenue, Belmont; (k) outside No 160 Shaftesbury Road, Carshalton (fully on the footway); (l) opposite Nos 25-27 Titchfield Road, Carshalton; and (m) outside No 53 Wigmore Road, Carshalton (fully on the footway). (ii) to revoke the disabled persons parking places in the following locations: (a) Betchworth Close, Sutton; (b) outside No 163 Collingwood Road, Sutton; (c) outside No 54 Courtney Crescent, Carshalton; (d) outside No 13 Danescourt Crescent, Sutton; (e) outside No 171 Glastonbury Road, Sutton; (f) outside No 60 Matlock Crescent, Cheam; (g) outside No 14 Vicarage Road, Sutton; and (h) outside No 11 Westminster Road, Sutton; (Ref DS376). 4. The general effect of The Sutton (On-Street Parking Places) (Sutton Controlled Parking Zone) (No ) (Amendment No ) Order 200 will be to remove one Permit Parking bay in Clarence Road, Sutton. (Ref PP377.) 5. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents: (a) the draft Orders; (b) plans showing the locations and extent of the disabled persons parking bays; and (c) the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders. These may be examined at: (i) Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday; (ii) Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. 6. If you wish to object to the proposed Orders you should send a statement in writing, including the grounds for your objection and quoting the relevant reference number to the following address by 13 September 2002. 8. Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be made aware that, in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice open to public inspection, if requested.
