NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that A Gore, of Banks Farm, Sollom, Tarleton PR4 6HP, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from an unnamed watercourse at National Grid Ref SD 4496 1878 and an unnamed watercourse at National Grid Ref SD 4447 1858 at Green Lane, Sollom. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 90.92 cubic metres per hour, 2182.08 cubic metres per day and 22,730 cubic metres per year, from each source (with an annual aggregate total of 22,730 cubic metres) between 31 October and 1 April each year. The water will be used for transfer to reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours, at Banks Farm, Sollom, Tarleton, between 8 August 2002 and 7 September 2002. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, The Authorisations Officer, PO Box 519, South Preston PR5 8GD, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
