NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP A HIGHWAY PURSUANT TO SECTION 116 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

Notice is hereby given that the Medway Council, of Civic Centre, Strood ME2 4AU, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, The Brook, Chatham, Medway, on Thursday, 7th December 2000, at 2 p.m., for an Order that part of the highway namely Alleyway to the rear of 1 to 19 King William Road, Gillingham, be stopped-up as it is considered that the highway is unnecessary and surplus to highway requirements.
The effect of this Order is shown on a plan, a copy of which may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Council at Civic Centre, Strood; Highways at Compass Centre, Chatham; Municipal Buildings, Gillingham; and Local Office, Military Road, Chatham, during normal working hours.
