THE GREENWICH AND LEWISHAM LOCAL ROAD (A20) RED ROUTE (SIDE ROADS) (VARIATION) TRAFFIC ORDER 2000

Transport for London hereby gives notice, that it intends to make these two Orders under the provisions of section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to make certain changes to Red Route controls on the A20 and certain of its side roads— (a) Loampit Hill, south-west side, parking box adjacent to Tyrwhitt Road, shortened to 10 metres., to operate 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday; (b) Loampit Hill, south-west side, loading box opposite Elswick Road, relocated north-westward and shortened to 10 metres; (c) Loampit Hill, south-west side, parking box opposite Elswick Road, removed; (d) operational hours of all parking and loading boxes on affected length of Lewisham Way, Loampit Hill and Loampit Vale main carriageway, except (a) above, to be off-peak, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Saturday; (e) “No stopping at any time” prohibition (double red lines) extended on certain lengths of Lewisham Way, Loampit Hill and Loampit Vale and their side roads; (f) Red Route side road overall controls extended at Breakspears Road, Elswick Road and Algernon Road; (g) Tyrwhitt Road, east side, parking box shortened to 10 metres, and new 13 metres loading box provided, operating 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday; (h) Elswick Road, east side, west and east arms, new 15 metres, and 10 metres parking boxes provided, operating 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday; (i) Algemon Road, west side, new 27 metres loading box provided, operating 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday. The roads affected by the Order are a length of the A20 GLA Road, comprising part of Lewisham Way, Loampit Hill and part of Loampit Vale, and certain of its side roads, in the London Borough of Lewisham. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders and measures can be inspected between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays, at the offices of Lewisham Highways Development, Silver Road Service Centre, Silver Road, Elmira Street, London S.E.13 (telephone 020 8690 4366, Extn, 3613). Any objection or other representation relating to either proposed Order must be made in writing and any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Any such objection or representation must be sent quoting Ref. “P. Sear/GLA-R53.2”, to Lewisham Highways Development, Silver Road, Service Centre, Silver Road, London SE13 7BQ, to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
