WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991, SCHEDULE 10 (AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995)

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Jeesons Consultants Limited for consent to discharge a rainfall dependent volume of trade effluent comprising of site drainage from workings to reclaim coal and aggregate from an old colliery spoil heap on Quidchurch Gale, Old Staple Edge Wood, near Ruspidge, Cinderford, Gloucestershire. The site drainage will discharge to underground strata via a settlement lagoon and a highway drain at National Grid Reference SO 6510 1124. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Team Leader, Water Quality Consenting at the Agency’s offices at Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8JG, during the period 28th April 2000 to 9th June 2000, quoting Ref. CP/LS/61200. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties it is decided that consent can be granted, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge so that the above aims are met. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Agency’s offices at the above address. K.
