THE WALTHAM FOREST PROPOSED INCREASE OF BUSINESS PARKING PERMIT CHARGES IN ALL THE BOROUGHS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES AND MINOR DRAFTING AMENDMENTS TO CERTAIN CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE TRAFFIC ORDERS
THE WALTHAM FOREST (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 200
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (hereinafter called “the Council”), propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9, to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the Road Traffic (Parking) Act 1986, the Parking Act 1989 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to: (a) increase the on-street business parking permit charges to £25 for 1 month, £60 for 3 months, £115 for 6 months and £225 for 1 year in all the Councils controlled parking zones. Note. The classes of vehicles which could use the business parking places, the times when those parking places operate and all other operating arrangements, would remain the same. (b) make minor drafting amendments where appropriate to the Council’s controlled parking traffic management Orders listed in paragraph 3 below, to reflect the existing operating and issue arrangements for business, residents, visitors and market traders parking permits. Note. These would include: (i) the interavailable use of business permits in all of the Council’s controlled parking zones; (ii) the name of the business user to whom the permit was issued appearing on the permit; (iii) the date of expiry to be included on business, residents and market traders parking permits; (iv) an indication of the zone for which residents and visitors parking permits are issued; (v) the removal of the address of the user from a visitors permit; and (vi) the up-dating of visitors permit availability. (c) In respect of the Leytonstone Controlled Parking Zone, include parts of Gainsborough Road, London E.11 and High Road, Leytonstone, London E.11 into the list of streets available for the issue of parking permits. 3. A copy of the Order, of the Waltham Forest (Blackhorse Lane) (Parking Places) Order 1995, the Waltham Forest (Blackhorse Road) (Parking Places) Order 1996, the Waltham Forest (Walthamstow Stadium) (Parking Places) Order 1996, the Waltham Forest (Market Traders Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1997, the Waltham Forest (Walthamstow Market West Zone) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1997, the Waltham Forest (Hoe Street) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1998, the Waltham Forest (Walthamstow Market East Zone) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1999, the Waltham Forest (Leytonstone) (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 2000 (and of the Orders which have amended those Orders, where applicable) and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order at: The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, London E.17; The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford, London E.4; and The First Stop Offices, Leyton Municipal Offices, High Road, Leyton, London E.10. 4. Any person desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the undersigned at the address given below by 23rd March 2000, quoting Ref.
