SEAFORD ROAD AREA
Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Ealing, in accordance with section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to provide a pedestrian “zebra” crossing in Leeland Terrace, near its junction with Melbourne Terrace. The crossing would be on a raised platform. Further notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Ealing propose to make the Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No. ) Traffic Order 199 under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. The general effect of the Order would be to: (a) impose one-way working for vehicles in: 1. Regina Terrace, from south-east to north-west. 2. Seaford Road, between Regine Terrace and Leeland Terrace, from south-east to north-west. 3. Westfield Road, between Leeland Terrace and Regina Terrace and Regina Road, from north-west to south-east. (b) prohibit vehicles in Leighton Road from entering Seaford Road and Sydney Road; (c) prohibit vehicles (other than emergency service vehicles) from using Regina Road as a through route to St. Kilda Road by means of a gated barrier sited at the junction of those roads; (d) prohibit vehicles from entering that length of Regina Road which lies between the south-western kerb-line of Sydney Road and a point 3 metres south-west of that kerb-line. The proposed Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the offices of Parkman Ltd, Transportation, 3rd Floor, 24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decide not to make the Orders. 5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Council’s agents, Parkman Limited on 0181-326 3011. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, the offices of Parkman Ltd, Transportation, 3rd Floor, 24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, until the expiration of a period 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
