NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Tarmac Heavy Building Materials UK Ltd, of Millfields Road, Ettingshall, Wolverhampton WV4 6JP, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the upper chalk at National Grid Reference TQ 2873 7651, at Tarmac Topmix Ltd, Stewarts Lane Goods Yard, Queenstown Road, Battersea, London SW8 3HE. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 6.6 cubic metres per hour, 66 cubic metres per day, and 18,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for concrete manufacture and dust suppression, all year round at the above site. A copy of the application and any map, plans and documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Tarmac Topmix Limited, Stewarts Lane Goods Yard, Queenstown Road, Battersea, London SW8 3HE, between 22nd July and 22nd August 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Thames Region, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Frimley, Camberley GU16 5SQ, for the attention of Water Resources, before the end of the said period quoting the name of the applicant.
