Changes to certain Parking Places in Baytree Road and St. Michael’s Road and Provision of a Bus Parking Place in Pope’s Road Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth on 29th September 1998, made the Lambeth (Brixton) (Parking Places) (No. 4) Order 1998, the Lambeth (Stockwell) (Parking Places) (No. 3) Order 1998, and the Lambeth (Free Parking) (Buses) (No. 1) Order 1998, under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.   2. In brief, the general nature and effect of the Orders will be:   (a) to convert two existing pay and display parking places in Baytree Road and one existing pay and display/business parking place in St. Michael’s Road, into shared use parking places (for use by the pay and display method and for the use of vehicles displaying a valid residents’, business users’, residents’ visitors, teachers’ or trade permit); and   (b) to provide a parking place in Pope’s Road for the use of buses only, between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m., on Mondays to Saturdays, without charge or time limit.   3. The hours during which the parking places referred to sub-paragraph 2(a) above operate and the time limits during which vehicles may be left in those parking places will remain unchanged. The charge for the use of those parking places by the pay and display method will be £1.20 per hour and the charges for parking permits will be as follows: residents’ and permits for eligible vehicles other than motor cycles—£10, £20, £35 and £60 for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months respectively, and for motor cycles—£11, £17 and £29 for 3 months, 6 months and 12 months respectively, business users’ and teachers’ permits—£255 for 12 months, residents’ vistors’ permits—£2.50 per day, trade parking permits—either £12.50 per day for up to 4 permits purchased at any one time or £10 per day for 5 or more permits purchased at any one time.   4. If you have any enquiries about this matter, please telephone 0171-926 2410 during office hours.   5. A copy of each of the Orders, which will come into force on 5th October 1998, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection from 9.30 a.m. until 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays, at the offices of the Transport Group, Room 24, Lambeth Town Hall, Brixton Hill, London SW2 1RW, until the last day of the period of 6 weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made.   6. If any person wishies to question the validity of the Orders, or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
