Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Act 1997
NOTICE OF DESIGNATION OF CONSERVATION AREAS

Notice is hereby given that East Ayrshire Council has designated the following Conservation Areas under Section 61(b) of the above Act.

- Darvel Centre Conservation Area based on and including parts of East Main Street, West Main Street, Temple Street, Ranaldcoup Road, and Jamieson Street; and
- Morton Park Conservation Area based on and including Morton Park and parts of Mairs Road, Countess Street and Ranaldcoup Road.

Notice is also given that, the existing Conservation Area has been cancelled and a new Conservation Area designated at:

- Laigh Fenwick Conservation Area based on and including parts of Main Road, Mausheugh Road, Waterslap and Kilmaurs Road.

The above proposals were agreed to be promoted as part of the East Ayrshire Local Plan (Adopted 11th April 2003).

Appraisals of the above Conservation Areas, including maps indicating their boundaries, lists of affected properties and the effects of the designation are available to view, free of charge, at the Department of Development Services, Planning and Building Standards Division, 6 Croft Street, Kilmarnock between the hours of 9am and 5pm Mondays to Thursdays and 9am and 4pm, on Fridays.
