THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL (MOREDUN PARK GARDENS AND MOREDUN PARK STREET, EDINBURGH) (STOPPING UP) ORDER 2003

Notice is hereby given that on 5th February 2003 The City of Edinburgh Council made an Order under Section 207 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (“the 1997 Act”) stopping up the roads specified in the Schedule hereto, being satisfied that it has become necessary to authorise the stopping up of the said roads in order to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the 1997 Act.

A copy of the Order and relevant plan showing the roads to be stopped up have been deposited at The City of Edinburgh Council, City Development Department, 1 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh.

Those documents are available for inspection free of charge from 7th February 2003 till 7th March 2003 during the hours of 9.30 am and 3.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

Any person may, within 28 days from 7th February 2003, make representations or object to the making of the Order by notice in writing, quoting reference PO/E/03/1, to The Council Solicitor’s Division, (Planning and Transportation), City Chambers, (Anchor Close), Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ. Representations and objections should state the name and address of the person by whom they are made, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

Lengths of Roads in Edinburgh to be Stopped Up

Area 1 - Moredun Park Gardens

The whole of the south-east end of Moredun Park Gardens, adjacent to numbers 95 to 111 (odd numbers), from a point 42 metres or thereby south-east of the south-east kerbline of Moredun Park Street eastwards around the west, north and east sides of the turning area and eastwards to the end of the parking area, including all adjacent footways, footpaths arid parking areas.

Area 2 - Moredun Park Gardens

The footway or footpath commencing at the east end of Moredun Park Gardens opposite the west building line of number 107 and running northwards past the east building line of number 105 to its point of intersection with the fence lines of numbers 11 and 13 Moredun Park View.

Area 3 - Moredun Park Street

The footway or footpath on the south-east side commencing 8 metres or thereby north-east of the north-east kerbline of Moredun Park Gardens and running past the north building line of number 95 Moredun Park Gardens to its point of intersection with the fence line of number 2 Moredun Park Street.
