The Phosphorous (Use in Agriculture) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006

The Department of the Environment has made a Statutory Rule entitled The Phosphorous (Use in Agriculture) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 (S.R.2006 No.488). The Rule, which is made under powers conferred by Articles 32, 44 and 72 of the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, establishes limits on the amount of chemical fertiliser to be applied to crop requirement taking into consideration phosphorous available from the soil and organic manures. The Regulations will come into operation on 1 January 2007.
