Notice is hereby given that the Department for Regional Development by virtue of the powers conferred on it by Article 20(3) of the Roads(Northern Ireland) Order 1993 made on 2nd March 2006 Regulations entitled The Motorways Traffic (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 (SR 2006 No. 83) which will come into operation on 13th April 2006.

These Regulations increase the number of days during which buses may use the hard shoulder of the Motorway M1 from Monday to Friday to Monday to Saturday. They also add a new area of hard shoulder of the Motorway M1 to be used as a bus lane.
