Department for Employment and Learning

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Employment and Learning in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 3(5) of and paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 2 to the Education (Student Loans) (Northern Ireland) Order 1990 and all of the other powers enabling it in that behalf, has made a Statutory Rule entitled “Education (Student Loans) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004”. These Regulations provide for the continued administration by the Student Loans Company in 2004/05 of mortgagestyle loans for students who began their courses when the previous student support system of broadly 50% grants and 50% students was still in operation.
