THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (E ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to: (a) on the north-west side of Brook Street:

(i) remove the existing waiting restrictions and pay-by-phone and motorcycle parking places between No. 60 and its junction with South Molton Lane;

(ii) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions outside Nos. 44 to 46 and at its junction with South Molton Lane;

(iii) introduce three pay-by-phone parking bays outside Nos. 58 to 60;

(iv) introduce 25 metres of residents’ parking outside Nos. 48 to 56; and

(v) introduce an 18-metre loading bay (maximum stay 20 minutes, no return within 1 hour) outside Nos. 40 and 42;

(b) in Davies Mews:

(i) introduce a prohibition of vehicles (signed as a “pedestrian zone”) with an exemption for loading in signed bays only between 7.00 a.m. and midday;

(ii) introduce one-way working eastbound;

(iii) remove the existing motorcycle parking and residents’ parking places; and

(iv) introduce a 28-metre loading bay (7.00 a.m. to midday, 20 minutes maximum stay, no return within 1 hour) on the south side of the road, between No. 16 Davies Mews and the rear of No. 58 Brook Street;

(c) on the west side of Davies Street:

(i) relocate the motorcycle parking place outside Nos. 51 and 53 southward by 8.4 metres, replacing a length of double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions;

(ii) shorten the residents’ parking place outside Nos. 55 to 59 to 5.8 metres and relocate it southward to a position opposite No. 48;

(iii) introduce 6.7 metres of double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions opposite the junction with Davies Mews;

(iv) introduce 8 metres of motorcycle parking opposite the Running Horse Public House, No. 50;

(v) introduce a 15-metre dual-use taxi rank / loading bay (no waiting except taxis between midday and 7.00 a.m., and loading only between 7.00 a.m. and midday, maximum stay 20 minutes, no return within 1 hour); and

(vi) extend the double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions at its junction with St. Anselm’s Place southward by 2.5 metres;

(d) on the east side of Davies Street:

(i) introduce 19.1 metres of double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions outside Brookfield House (the existing 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8.30 – 1.30 p.m. Saturday loading restrictions at this location would be removed);

(ii) introduce an 8-metre loading bay (maximum stay 20 minutes, no return within 1 hour) outside the Mansour Gallery, No. 48;

(iii) introduce 12.3 metres of double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions at the junction with Davies Mews; and

(iv) introduce a 10.5-metre loading bay (maximum stay 20 minutes, no return within 1 hour) replacing double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions outside No. 58; and

(e) in South Molton Lane:

(i) introduce a prohibition of motor vehicles except for access (signed as a “pedestrian and cycle zone”); and

(ii) introduce one-way working south-east bound.

3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
