PERMANENT MAKING OF EXPERIMENTAL PROVISIONS FROM

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (VARIOUS ROADS) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under Sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act made the above Order, the effect of which will be to continue indefinitely provisions of the experimental traffic order listed in the heading to this Notice, which by way of an experiment;

Introduced Pedestrian and Cycle Zones No Motor Vehicles Mon-Fri 8.00-9.15am and 2.45-4.00pm Except for School Street Permit Holders, at the following locations:

1. Stratton Drive, Barking, both sides, from its junction with Sandringham Road to its junction with Westrow Drive;

2. Stanhope Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Becontree Avenue to its junction with Brittain Road;

3. Homestead Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Stanhope Road to its junction with Nicholas Road;

4. Wilmington Gardens, Barking, both sides, from its junction with Rosslyn Road to its junction with Buller Road;

5. Harrold Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Markyate Road to its junction with Ivinghoe Road;

6. Ivinghoe Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Hedingham Road to its junction with Ilchester Road;

7. Stevens Road, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Gainsborough Road to the northern property boundary of No. 77 Stevens Road.

A copy of the Order, which will come into force on Saturday 30 April 2022, and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order are available to view for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published on the Councils website by visiting the following web page https://www.lbbd.gov.uk/parking and selecting ‘New and proposed traffic and parking schemes’.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any Regulations under it have not been complied with may do so within six weeks of the made date of the Order by applying to the High Court.
