NOTICE OF FORFEITURE WITHOUT COURT ORDER

I, HMI Nick Davies of Home Office Immigration Enforcement, a senior officer within the meaning of 297A(6) (aa) of Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) am satisfied that the cash (plus interest accrued) or part of it is:

a) recoverable property; or

b) is intended by any person for use in unlawful conduct as per s297A(2) POCA.

Any person may object to the proposed forfeiture of this cash within 31 days, starting with the day after the notice is given. Accordingly, the period for objecting to this notice expires on 3rd January 2019

Any objections must be made in writing to: Cash Forfeiture and Condemnation Legal Team, Immigration Enforcement, Home Office, 4th Floor, Becket House, 60-68 St Thomas Street, London, SE1 3QU by post or by e mail to:

cashforfeiture@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.

If no objection is received at the above address within the prescribed period stated herein the cash will be forfeited but this is subject to an appeal (within the next 31 days) which must be made directly to the Magistrates’ court that granted the detention order.
